Sportswear giant Nike has opened a new ‘Nike Live’ concept store in the Portland area, at Bridgeport Village.
The store opens with a strong focus on women’s products and services. In particular, it features a wide selection of women’s shoes, sports bras and performance tops, alongside products for men. Nike operates two other stores in the Portland area.
Compared to traditional Nike retail store, Nike Live concept stores are smaller in size and merge both physical shopping and online shopping, by encouraging shoppers to use Nike’s app. Through the app, shoppers can sign up to access special collections, as well as in-store events and fitness activities.
The opening marks the 50th Nike Live store for the brand. The concept was first introduced in 2018, with a store opening in Los Angeles. The first Nike Live store to open in Oregon was in Eugene in 2021. With its latest opening, the retailer is continuing to emphasize smaller-format stores.
Nike also offers other retail concepts including Nike House of Innovation, Nike Rise, and Nike Unite.
